Calendars that travel
Public holidays, weekend patterns, heat, monsoon and shutdowns differ by country. They belong in the schedule as calendars, not as notes in an email.
PROJECT CONTROLS LOCATIONS
Project controls locations for programmes that cross borders, calendars and contract forms. EVM Solutions is based in Manchester and supports planning, scheduling and reporting wherever the critical path sits.
Project controls locations
Owners, contractors and consultants ask us to plan work that is designed in one country, procured in another and built in a third. The schedule only stays useful if calendars, holidays, notice periods and reporting cycles are explicit. A global programme fails when each region keeps a private version of progress.
EVM Solutions is a project controls consultancy based at Colony, Piccadilly Place, Manchester. We do not claim a branch in every city. We join the client team, work in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and the reporting tools the programme already uses, and leave a schedule that other offices can update without translation.
This hub lists the project controls locations we support most often. Open a regional or country page for the planning issues that show up there. For city-level UK, US and UAE detail, use the dedicated planning pages linked from each location.
Every page below is written for people who need a credible baseline, a comparable monthly update and a critical path they can defend in a board room or a commercial meeting. The method is the same in every location: clear logic, honest remaining duration and one data date.
On the programme
Public holidays, weekend patterns, heat, monsoon and shutdowns differ by country. They belong in the schedule as calendars, not as notes in an email.
A monthly board pack cannot wait for the last region to close its books. The data date, the cut-off and the level of detail have to be agreed before the first update.
Design, procurement and site teams sit in different time zones. The schedule should show who owes what, and by when, across those handovers.
If each office owns a separate finish date, leadership is guessing. An integrated network makes the true driver visible and keeps earned value honest.
NEC, FIDIC, JCT and US CPM specifications all expect a written account of the programme. Location does not remove that duty.
When a region slips, the file must show cause and effect. That record protects the commercial position later.
How we help
Planning, scheduling and project controls from a Manchester-based consultancy, deployed to the programme rather than tied to a local office in every city.
We build or repair an integrated schedule that covers design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, with logic that still makes sense when a package moves region.
Each period we check progress, remaining duration and critical path so leadership sees movement, not a new story from each office.
When a location slips, we trace the cause through the logic and set out the effect on key dates, cost and interfaces.
SPI and CPI only help if progress rules match the schedule. We keep measurement consistent across locations.
Coding, calendars and update rules are written so another planner can take the file without rebuilding it.
Most work runs on the live schedule file. Site visits are used when access, trade progress or commercial pressure needs a direct view.

A short briefing before you open a regional or country page.
No. EVM Solutions is based in Manchester, United Kingdom. We support programmes in other countries by working with the client team on site or remotely, using the programme schedule and the contract calendar.
This section covers Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa, Australia, Canada and Saudi Arabia. The United Kingdom, United States and United Arab Emirates also have dedicated planning and scheduling pages with city and emirate detail.
Yes, if calendars, coding and update rules are set up for it. We separate local holidays and constraints from the milestones the whole programme has to share.
Most integrated schedules are built in Primavera P6. We also work with Microsoft Project, Power BI dashboards and the cost and change systems the client already runs.
We agree one data date, one remaining-duration rule and a shared WBS before the first update. That stops each office inventing its own progress story.
Yes. We start with a schedule health review, restore logic where it is broken, then rebuild a recovery path that leadership can trust.
