CIVIL ENGINEERING
Civil engineering contractors are planned around access, weather and utilities. The crew rate is rarely the real constraint.
Civil engineering
Civil programmes slip because a possession, a permit, a utility or the weather did not match the output rates in the tender. Those rates are useless if the site is not available. Linear jobs also hide progress: a percentage complete on a long asset can look healthy while the critical structure has not started.
We schedule sections, structures, utilities and possessions as a network, with weather on the activities it stops. Progress is measured in a way that matches the critical path, not only the easy chainage. Temporary works and traffic management are included where they gate the permanent work.
The schedule is the one the civil contractor submits and updates. We work with their planners or as the planning resource on the job.
On the programme
Possessions, road space and permits are activities. Missing one is visible the same period.
Earthworks and concrete carry the calendar. Other work does not inherit a blanket delay.
Progress rules stop early, easy quantities from masking a late critical structure.
How we help
Planning, scheduling and project controls from a Manchester-based consultancy, deployed to the programme rather than tied to a local office in every city.
A programme that matches the method, not a generic bar chart of sections.
What must be ready before each window, and what slips if it is missed.
Diversions and connections with owners and durations.

Yes. Those dates are constraints. The schedule shows the preparation they require.
